1. Purpose and Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply exclusively to the dance classes, memberships, and related activities offered by Camina Dance School, operated by Camina ASBL. By enrolling in a membership, attending a class, or purchasing any dance-related service, the student agrees to comply with these Terms & Conditions.

2. Membership and Enrollment

2.1 Types of Membership

Camina Dance School offers two membership types, granting access to all classes offered at the school:

Quarterly Membership (valid for one academic term)
Annual Membership (valid for the full academic year)

Paying for Individual Classes: It is only possible for solo dance classes—such as Afrocuban, Timba, or Lady Style—and only if there is space available. Trial Lessons: In addition to Open Door days, students may try a class for free. If you try a class and decide not to sign up, you do not pay anything. If you try a class and decide to sign up, the price of that trial class will be included in your membership fee.

2.2 Membership Fee Payment

Membership fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Details of the fee amounts are provided on the official channels of Camina Dance School.

2.3 Confirmation of Enrollment

Enrollment becomes effective once payment has been received and confirmed. Camina Dance School may refuse enrollment for reasons such as class capacity, safety, or inappropriate behaviour.

3. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

According to Directive (EU) 2011/83 on Consumer Rights, students have 14 days from the purchase date to withdraw.

If exercised within this period:

A full refund minus the value of any classes already attended will be issued.
The €5 administrative fee does not apply.

Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to: caminaecole@gmail.com.

4. Refunds After the 14-Day Period

After the 14-day period, membership fees are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances, such as:

injury or medical condition preventing participation
accident
other serious personal reasons (evaluated case by case)

Camina Dance School may request supporting documentation. Missed classes are non-refundable.

4.1 Calculation of Approved Refunds

If a refund is granted, it will be calculated as follows:

based on the number of remaining weeks from the date Camina Dance School is notified,
minus the proportional cost of classes already attended,
minus a €5 administrative fee.

Refunds may also be considered if the student relocates to another city or country, but only for Annual Memberships.

5. Transfer or Credit Options

As an alternative to a refund, and only at Camina Dance School’s discretion, students may be allowed to:

transfer remaining classes of a Quarterly Membership to the following term, or
convert the unused portion of the membership into credit for a future activity of Camina Dance School.

These options depend on internal planning and are not guaranteed.

6. Attendance and Studio Rules

Students must:

arrive on time
respect instructors and fellow dancers
follow class instructions and safety rules

Camina Dance School may deny access or suspend enrollment in cases of unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive behaviour. Missed classes are non-refundable.

7. Class, Instructor, and Schedule Adjustments

Camina Dance School may modify class timetables, instructors, or locations due to operational needs. These changes do not entitle students to refunds as long as services continue to be reasonably provided.

8. Health, Safety, and Liability

Participation in dance activities is at the student's own risk.
Students are responsible for:

informing instructors of health conditions or injuries
monitoring their own physical limits

Camina ASBL is not responsible for injuries or loss of personal belongings unless caused by proven negligence.

9. Photography and Video

Classes and events may occasionally be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes. Students who wish not to appear in such materials may notify Camina Dance School in writing or inform the instructor before class.

10. Personal Data (GDPR Compliance)

Camina ASBL processes personal data solely for membership administration, communication, and safety. Data is stored securely and not shared with third parties unless required by law. Students may request access, correction, or deletion of their data by contacting caminaecole@gmail.com. A full Privacy Policy is available upon request.
